Event Description:
The Pipestone Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to Historic Downtown Pipestone for our 12th Annual Trunk or Treat & Downtown Candy Walk on Thursday, October 29th, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. With over 1,000 kids attending annually, this community celebration for our area’s youth is always Pipestone Area favorite! Three blocks of Main Street will be closed for safe, family-friendly fun, costumes, and candy! If you are a local business, nonprofit organization, church, school, childcare, team, or club that would like to participate, please contact the Chamber at 825-3316 by Wednesday, October 21st as pre-registration is required. There is no fee to participate.

Trunk Setup Information:
We will close 3 blocks of Main Street at 3:00 pm on Thursday, 10/29/26 from Liberty Pawn to First Farmers & Merchants Bank.
You can begin setting up at 3:00 pm, and please be setup by 4:15 because folks come early. Most spots are first-come-first-serve and spread out along those 3 blocks. You must be pre-registered with the Chamber.
Spots will be marked with orange cones. If there isn't a name printed on the cone, then you may claim the spot by parking the front of your vehicle up to the orange cone and aim your trunk towards the center of the street. Some spots are saved for logistical purposes (e.g. Fire Dept, Ludolph Bus, PAS Band, Downtown stores, Ambulance, etc.), and they will have their name printed on the cone.
The event runs from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Plan on about 1,000 pieces of candy. The theme is simply Halloween so the possibilities are endless as long as it isn't too scary. There are lots of lil' little kids who come. Your theme does not need to be reserved for this event.
