Date: November 20, 2021
Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM CST
Event Description:
Meinders Community Library's Community Read is back! This year we'll be reading The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir by Kao Kalia Yang, a Minnesota author. We have 30 free copies available for the public starting Monday, November 1st. Copies are available on a first come basis and when you're done reading the book you can keep it, pass it on to a friend, or bring it back to the library for someone else to read.

Join us on Saturday, November 20th at 10:00am for a community discussion of The Latehomecomer. We will also be streaming an author chat with Kao Kalia Yang on Thursday December 9th at 7pm, in conjunction with the state's One Book | One Minnesota program. The Song Poet: A Memoir of My Father, also by Yang, is available as a free ebook and audiobook on Ebooks Minnesota now through December 19th. Print copies of The Song Poet can also be checked out from the library.

Community Reads are a great way to enjoy shared experiences and provide ready-made conversation starters on topics of importance. Please consider joining us for this unique program series.
