January “Coffee Talk” to feature Mary Schwebach discussing the History of Memorial (Mourning) Jewelry and Etiquette.
The January presentation will be held Thursday, January 20th. Mary Schwebach, member of and volunteer for the Pipestone County Historical Society, will speak on the History of Memorial (Mourning) Jewelry and Etiquette. Mary will have mourning items, including a mourning dress from the 1880s, on display and will share information about them during her talk.
The Pipestone County Historical Society’s Coffee Talks are held the third Thursday of each month. These talks are FREE to the public. The community is invited to the Pipestone County Museum at 9:45 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month for coffee followed by a presentation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
