Hey, I’m Jonathan Benge! I’m a Senior Wealth Advisor and founding partner of Preferred Resource Group (PRG), which I helped launch in 1999 in Fargo, North Dakota. With 25+ years of experience, I love educating clients and helping them feel secure about their financial future. There’s nothing better than giving families confidence as they navigate retirement and financial planning.

Fun fact: I briefly walked on to NDSU’s football team in 1991! (Let’s just say moving from lineman to wide receiver was… an experience!). I’ve been a die-hard Bison fan ever since, riding the highs and lows of every game.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me coaching, mentoring, or just having fun teaching! I’ve spent years involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and youth sports, and I’m a proud Eagle Scout—once a Scout, always a Scout! These adventures have taught me leadership, perseverance, and a love for the great outdoors (and maybe a few fire-starting tricks). I’m happiest at the lake, whether swimming, boating, or just soaking up the outdoors.

I’m excited to be bringing an office to Pipestone, MN, and returning to a community where my fiancée and her family have deep roots! This move isn’t just about business—it’s about reconnecting with the values of integrity, community, and personal relationships that make Pipestone so special. I’m excited to contribute to this great area and provide tailored financial planning to families who need a partner that truly understands their unique needs.
